Meet the Instructor

Rajumon Narayanan
aka Raj

Master Rajumon Narayanan aka Raj has been living and breathing martial arts since the age of 9.

He began his Kalaripayattu journey under Guru Diwakaran Gurukkal, a disciple of the legendary Kunjikuttan Gurukkal. Over time, he expanded his knowledge by learning Southern-style Kalari (Thekkan) from Dilip Gurukkal in Vanjiyoor, Trivandrum.

At age 14, Raj also started training in Karate, first under Master James, and later with Tony Ponnayaa. He went on to earn his 4th Dan Black Belt under Hayashi-Ha Shitoryu-Kai, Japan.

With over 40 years of experience, Raj blends deep tradition with modern teaching — helping students build confidence, strength, and self-mastery through martial arts.
